The Olives

Obìa means “olive” in the Sardinian language. We chose this name because everything begins with the fruit itself.

The olive is the foundation of flavor, quality, and tradition. The olive we use is a rare variety found only in Sardinia, Nera di Villacidro.

Cold Extraction

Oil is extracted at just 22°C, well below the minimum, preserving delicate flavors and beneficial nutrients

Limited Oxygen Exposure

Advanced machinery limits oxygen exposure & preserves fresh flavors and healthy antioxidants.

No Plastics or Phthalates

Our milling equipment is entirely plastic free, and lab tests confirm our olive oil contains no detectable phthalates

Filtration

We filter our olive oil using natural cellulose, preserving its freshness, flavor, and nutritional integrity.

Every harvest, our olive oil undergoes professional sensory analysis. This process ensures that our oil not only meets international standards for quality but also reveals the unique character of our groves.

The panel described our oil as fruity, bitter, and peppery. Its aroma carries vibrant notes of grass, tomato leaf, artichoke, and wild herbs, reflecting the landscape where our olives are grown. The result is an oil that is highly balanced, complex, and free from defects.

Lab Analysis

Extremely Low Acidity
Our Free Fatty Acid level of 0.10% is one of the lowest available on the market. A low acidity reflects healthy olives, that were harvested and processed with extreme care.

High Polyphenols
Obìa Olive Oil contains 500 mg/kg polyphenols. This level reflects not only the oil's antioxidant capacity but also indicates a rich flavor profile.
