Su Pramesu, "The Mid-Way Point"
Nestled on the northern fringes of our town, you'll find Su Pramesu, meaning "The Mid-Way Point" in Sardinian. This olive grove is owned and tended to by Enrico's uncle, Giorgio.
In the past this area was full of sprawling vineyards, but the landscape underwent a transformation when European regulations demanded the removal of grapevines. In response, Enrico's ancestors embraced the opportunity to cultivate olives, a decision that continues to shape the land to this day.
Perched on elevated ground, our grove at Su Pramesu benefits from natural irrigation, requiring no additional watering. Here, the Nera di Villacidro cultivar thrives, including rare sub-cultivars like the delicate Terza Piccola, the third and smallest variation of Nera di Villacidro. We care for approximately 70 trees here, many of which are around 40 years old.
